Listening to music with screen down

I'm going to guess that "having the screen down" means not using your
monitor, i.e. just listening to music.

Use the blank screensaver. Or just turn off your monitor.

I guess so, that's the only thing that makes sense.

There are laptops that allow you to listen to a CD without even booting it.

In the properties of the Power Options tool in Control Panel, the When I
close the lid of my portable computer setting is set to Do nothing.

Start | Run | Type: powercfg.cpl | Click OK |
