I have an interesting problem on my Windos XP Pro desktop machine.
When I plug my HP Photosmart 7150 printer into the USB port, the LAN
connection to my router is dropped. The error it is giving me is that
my ethernet cable is unplugged when it is apparently not. I've been
having this problem and have tried every combination of plugging and
unplugging combined with restarts but I still can't figure out the
problem or even begin to diagnose it. Any help would be appreciated.

That problem is normally caused by underpowered USB ports, particularly if
you are using a USB modem. Either upgrade the PSU or get a Powered USB hub.
