Post subject: Internet Explorer won't open
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>perform_maintain (more info?)

Since downloading Windows Update on Jan. 3, 2006, I have been unable to open
my Internet Explorer. A page opens up that says "Connecting to..." but never
opens up any thing. Page stays blank. Then I can't close out of the window
or do anything except turn off the computer by the button. I have tried
uninstalling the Update, but can't find it. Seems as though the settings
were changed when the Update downloaded. Any ideas? Thanks.
