I can't install any programs. I download them, and they disappear. (I bet
they are with all the socks.) I have no idea where to even start to resolve
this problem. Any suggestions?

When you are downloading them, they are saved into a folder somewhere
on your PC. The, with explorer, just look for that folder and you
should seem these downloaded files. Click on one of these to start
the install process.

Downloading file do not normally install them.

usually goes some where in the computer, open explorer, search, and write the
name of the program, and see if can find it,is better to have a place to save
downloads, try this: go to my documents, open, file, new, folder, and than name it
as my downloads, close.now you have a plece to save your downloads
Now every time your downloads, before stars, save it in my downloads folder
,than scan for trades with antivirus, after that ,if clean, you can open
it,this way,you always will have your programs in a safety place to find ,
whenever you need it,and your computer security will be safe.
