I had an outside shop transfer old home movies from VHS to CD (or DVD-not
sure which) and am now trying to import or copy this to my Movie Maker 2 so I
can edit out some scenes. It seems the CD has a file extension of RM. How
do I do this process? All my computer does is to play the movie which I
don't want. All I want is to get it transferred to the computer itself. It
seems the instructions are for from a camera which is not the issue here.

Thanks. Unfortunately it did not work. I got an error message saying the
file type was not supported and therefore cannot be imported into Windows
Movie Maker. The file type is .dat.

How can I convert this into a supportable file type such as AVI, etc.? Cost
is no object.
