I turned on my Dell Latitude D620 not that long ago, and the Installer
immediately started prompting me about installing 'HpProductAssistant', and
then would ask me for the CD upon startup.
I had a problem with this quite some time ago and managed to resolve that
problem by popping in said CD, which is what I did when this problem arose
because I couldn't do anything else at the moment. I had also done this when
it tried to install components of Office and my Symantec Antivirus by
installing Office 2007 and upadted the antivirus. I also used the Cleanup
Utility.
I've checked the comp for anything and it has come up clean, but I'm still
scratching my head as to why the problem has come back after 5 happy months
of not having to press cancel every 2 seconds.
For the record, I'm running Win XP Pro with SP2. >> Stay informed about: Hope This Fixed It |

Probably something to do with whatever HP product the CD was for. >> Stay informed about: Hope This Fixed It |

I have an idea this is a known issue and HP have a fix for it somewhere
on their web site. You could try a search for it. Hope this helps. Good
luck.
