Windows XP on laptop.
I was just typing away in Excel, with other applications open as well, Word,
Lotus Notes, Communicator, etc. and the whole screen went upside down! Not
just the application window but the whole desktop, ie the date is now in the
top left corner and upside down.
I don't think I did a key-shortcut and I cannot find any help to resolve this.
Many thanks in advance

AltGr+cursor key (not sure if it is down, left, or up) but I am back in the
rightside up world again.

Look in the Display Options and you can turn off this feature so it
won't happen again.

Thanks Elmo.
What exactly am I looking for, to disable? I have already been to the
Control Panel, Display (that is were I first went to when it happened) but
cannot see, even under the advanced options something that describes what
happened.
Thanks

I've only seen it on one system, can't remember exactly where the option
was, but you want to turn off the shortcut keys to rotate the screen.
It should be in the Adapter or other graphics card properties area.
If you post the model number, I'll try to look it up.

There are a lot of brands of laptops, and lots of models available
within each brand. You want Elmo or anyone else looking up the info
for ALL laptops?
Might be described in the manual that came with your laptop. If you
can't find it, go look on the manufacturer's web site for an online
copy of the manual. It may describe the various key combos available
for that brand and model. >> Stay informed about: Urgent Help - Windows rotated 180deg! |

No, I don't want anyone to look for any info for ALL laptops.
Initially Elmo mentioned that the problem could be linked to the Display
settings, which I took for being uniform for WindowsXP. If it is specific to
laptop model, then I shall do some searching.
Many thanks Elmo.
All the best
