ive been getting this "documents has encountered and error and needs to
close" message every time i click a button or stay on a site for 2 mins or
more. can anyone offer some assistance. its pretty irritating and i think it
may be slowing down the performance as well though i cant be sure. some of
the technical info is: c:\docume~1\owner\locals~1\temp\...._appcompat.txt.
does this look familiar to anyone?

It should be possible to open appcompat.txt in Notepad. Copy the contents
and paste it into a reply here. At the very least, it should point to the
offending module(s) or systems (or lack of) that is interfering with the
web browser. And what browser is being used --- IE, Netscape, etc.?

I just got the program Corel Paint Shop Pro X2, I downloaded it, and then I
click on it to run, I get a error message
,c:\DOCUME~1Barb\LOCALS~1\Temp\69fe_appcompat.txt

I don't know how to fix it so the program will run

Open C:\DOCUME~1Barb\LOCALS~1\Temp\69fe_appcompat.txt and read it; it
might explain the APPlication COMPATibility requirements for the software.

If it includes an error number, look it up here:
