Do not know why but firewall stopped working. Symptoms in article 892199, error msg.="Windows firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service not running..." are exactly what I'm getting. Followed Method 1 of Resolution to restore the default security descriptor for the SharedAccess service. Got "success" back at end but still getting same error messages. ANY idea how to get firewall back or what to try? >> Stay informed about: HELP! Firewall stopped working.
