Post subject: Foreign-language characters in batch file command path
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>general (more info?)

The folders on our network contain both Hebrew and English names. I tried
using XCOPY in a batch file for backup to a folder with Hebrew in its path
name. Running the file caused it to create a new folder path consisting of
extended Latin characters, rather than saving in the intended folder.

Does anyone know how I can use a batch file in this situation?

(This question was also posted in Configuration and Management. I repost
here in the hope of obtaining an answer.)
