Open a web page, hold down the CTRL key, scroll your mouse wheel up/down.

I have a Compaq Notebook Computer. I tried holding the control button down
and moving down on the little touchpad area that moves the cursor and nothing
happens, maybe I didn't describe my problem correctly or aren't understanding
you?? Thanks

You understood. Some laptop have areas that sub in for the mouse scroll
wheel and some people connect a mouse to their laptop for easier
manuevering...

You can do the same thing with the "View" --> "Text Size" menu in Internet
Explorer.

Is your text larger on everything or just IE?
If everything - is your resolution the same? (Same amount of screen space?)
and/ore did you turn on "large fonts"?

Right click a blank spot on the desktop and select Properties.
Go to the Settings tab and reset the screen resolution.

If using IE, then change text size with View-Text Size
