Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>hardware (more info?)

I have a e-machine Desktop with XP2 and I have used a 64mg usb flash drive to
load data fliles from work. I purchased a Gatway laptop and a new 1gb flash
drive. The new flsh drive installed and works ok on the XP laptop but the old
destop cannot find the "drivers" for the new flash drive. E-machines could
not help and the Flash Drive people insist that their product is "Plug and
Play". How can I change the windows software on the desktop to recognise and
install the new flash drive short of a complete wipe and re-install of XP?
