Seems like lately every time I start machine I get balloon that says security
risk, my XP firewall is turned off. Then, click balloon and it turns on.
Any ideas how to prevent this and have firwall on as it should be? Thank you
sincerely.

Hi

Control Panel>Security Center - in the left hand pane click on 'Change the
way Security Center alerts me'.

Go into Administrative Tools-Services and check that Windows Firewall is set
to Automatic. If it already is set to automatic start but still isn't turned
on when you boot the computer scan for viruses/malware. Use one of the
online virus scanners or scan from a clean floppy/CDrom boot AV scan
disk.... If your firewall is already compromised chances are your AV is as
well.
