I got a hankerin for a little Doom 3 and reinstalled it on XP SP2. I also
installed the latest game patch and generally it runs OK. However, if I
select the EAX 4 HD sound option I immediately get an "exception" crash in
Doom3.exe. I have an Audigy 2 soundcard and I thought it supported EAX 4.
Does anyone know if this is a driver problem, or if the Audigy 2 is
supported? I have a 5.1 speaker setup and the surround option in Doom 3
works OK. TIA

For the record, this was a driver problem. Installing the correct sound
card driver enabled the EAX option in Doom 3 for the Audigy 2 sound card.
