Post subject: Directx 9c End-User Web Installer

i cannot get "directx 9c" to install through the "directx 9c end-user web
installer", in MS's "download ctr".. i just reformatted and i need to update
directx 9c.. i am running win xpsp3, which is probably the cause of the
problem! everything-microsoft seems screwed up, since they released win
xpsp3.. i can't even contact MS's support.. when it does the
"data-collection" thing, the data-collection never completes running and so
my message is never posted.. i guess i will reformat, AGAIN! i imagine that i
will be able to install directx 9c as long as i do it before installing win
xpsp3.. incidentally, i installed win xpsp3 through "windows updates" (not
with the "redistributable package").. |

Try downloads,Direct X,by date,locate the redistributable Direct X for
Nov,download,then open in desktop,select a new folder in my documents that
you created for it to open in to (browse to folder),once thru,open folder,
locate the .exe file,install..Once its thru,delete the folder.

The DirectX November 2008 Update web installer does not work. I
uploaded my copy from the August update which does work:

Hello fellow Direct-X users. Are you referring to the 9.25.1476 version?!
Because thát is the version that several people can't install via the
end-user-web-installer.
It díd worked once for me several days ago, but when I wanted to update my
other PC some 5 minutes later, the download went wrong untill this very day
(Nov-16).
So, how can I check by making use of the directX diagnostic program which
version I run, because I can't find anything that looks like 9.25.1476.
