Desktop shortcut Icon will not change.

I have had this problem for a while - Windows XP Home .

When I try to change a desktop icon (not all of them some work), it will not
change and goes back to the standard Internet E Icon.

Does anyone kow what is wrong - where I can change some not all??

Do a Google search on Favicons:
