You would be better off asking Vista questions in a Vista newsgroup
such as microsoft.public.windows.vista.general
Right click on vacant area of desktop and select "Personalise"
Click on "Windows Colour and appearance"
Click on "Advanced" (bottom right corner)
Near the bottom under "Item" select "Icon"
Now you can select icon size, font name, font size, bold, italic, etc.
