Hello everyone. I want to change the start and run icons in my start
menu, and I have it set on the classic mode. I went through the
registry and changed the DefaultIcon values for each to the icon I
wanted, and those icons do change for the normal XP start menu, but
they don't on the classic start menu. Anyone know how to change them
while still using classic? (I really prefer not to use apps like
IconPackager if I can get away with not).

Thanks!

My understanding is that you cannot modify the Start Menu button's icon with
tweaking the dll file (the BIG Start button on the taskbar to the far-left).

What Start are you talking about?

Hi,

You may use Tidy Start Menu PRO with icon wizard -
http://www.tidystartmenu.com/icon_wizard.shtml

But I recommend use Vista Start Menu instead of start menu Smile
