Post subject: Video Card
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>video (more info?)

I have a Dell Inspiron 9100 laptop, just lately, after I put the system on
standby or hibernate, after an hour or so, when i push the start button to
return the system to active state, the hard drive activity light starts to
blink as if it was going to start the system; only the screen is blank with
no video at all, one time the screen lit up but no icons. i have downloaded
the newest driver available but to no help.
I have also contacted Dell with no satisfaction (4 times). Does anyone have
an idea as to what is causing the problem? I also get the error message that
asks me to send or not to send. I send the error message, the details of the
message is that I need to download the newest driver or turn down the
hardware acceleration.
