Will some one please tell me where to get a program (pref. free) that
will capture video with audio as it comes from a URL? If this isn't
the correct newsgroup, please direct me to the correct one.

Thanks

Henry

That rather depends on what format the video file is in.

Flash will capture nicely with the Sothink Web Video Downloader (not free)
using Firefox. There are many other utilities which say they'll capture
flash, but I haven't found any that work as well as this one. If you need
to then convert it, Xilisoft Video Converter is amazing.

If it's a WMV file, then you can use SDP (which IS free).

Sometimes you can 'grab' the files from the Temporary Internet Files folder,
but often they are instructed not to be cached and will not appear there.

I want to capture a video file from a URL from a local TV station.
They did some interviews I'd like to keep.
