Inkjet primer - "the writing is on the wall"
Sooner or later, you would have had to buy a new head anyway.

A new head only £55.25 inc vat £47.02 ex-vat

The question about the inks, is whether they undergo a
chemical change when the ink dries. A solvent would
work, if the ink was still in a soluble state. But
the channels in the head are tiny, and the very act of
cleaning them, can block the head. I know, because
I ruined one

(Not on this particular printer, but
on a larger format device.)
