Does AOE III run well with vista, if at all?
Are there any major programs that run on XP that would not run on vista as i
am not sure if it's worth upgrading.
Thanks

No problems here. There was an issue where it would pop up a message saying
no MP3 codec found or similar, but you could just OK past it and it didn't
effect the game at all and was fixed in a later patch.

I've not come across any. Heavy security packages like Norton and things
like that will require new versions or updates, but then I'd recommend AVG
or NOD32 anyway.

Games that make use of StarForce drivers (Splinter Cell, Silent Hunter a few
others) require the Vista drivers to be installed from the StarForce
website.

Photoshop CS2 keeps popping up the register message on start up because it
needs admin rights to save the details or cancel. You'll probably run into
some silly issues like that which can be resolved by running the program as
an administrator usually which you just need to do once.

But I haven't come across anything that just won't work.
