Hi Mark
What exactly is the problem though? I would check the following... in
order:
1) Confirm that the computers can see each other. To do this, take
note of the IP address of the other pc (type ipconfig in the command
window), then open a command window in PC A, and type:
ping <ip>
where the <ip> is the ip address of computer b
2) if you have a connection, the next thing to check is that you have
file sharing enabled. Open network connections (in control panel),
right click on the connection you are using, and select properties...
ensure the "file and printer sharing" is in the list and selected.
Check these for now... we can take it from there. >> Stay informed about: Accessing a network resource |

Very well, are you using simple file sharing? Or the full blown NT
permissions model? (i.e. do you see a 'permissions' tab in the
properties? >> Stay informed about: Accessing a network resource |

Hi.
Yes the pcs can see each other.
The "client" pc sees the shared folders on the remote, but I get access
denied on clicking to enter the folder. >> Stay informed about: Accessing a network resource |
