Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>security_admin (more info?)

Up until a couple days ago, I had NO issues or problems when I ran the
msconfig (System Configuration Utility) tool to change certain services at
startup ...but suddenly, an error message pops up after I click on APPLY and
another exactly like it, when I click on OK...
The error message is as follows:
"An Access Denied error was returned while attempting to change a service.
You may need to log on using an Administration account to make the specified
changes."

Funny thing is, I AM the system administrator......and,
The change made DOES appear to take affect after reboot, but, I'm just not
sure as to why I am suddenly receiving such an error message...maybe a virus?
Bug?
Any assistance would be grealty appreciated.
Thanks in advance...
Apeke
