unable to view email attachements

I had a similar problem with .pdf (Vista32, Windows Mail).
In a thread a fix was given for the identical .doc problem:

I simply replaced doc with pdf

http://www.winhelponline.com/fixes/pdf_fix.reg

and it worked.

thank u very much....i can now view my e-mail attachments without having to
save them first...some i couldn't view at all but al is wel with the world
now...a small victory i know but 1 all the same...no more cobbeldegook....or
words to that effect from word pad when opening attachments...so thanku to
the person who put the bit with....start....default programs....set
associations...u made my life a little less frustrating
