Post subject: Unable to import ALL messages
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>vista>mail (more info?)
Have managed to export my dbx files from OE6 on my defunct machine and MOST
of them have gone successfully into Windows Mail with Vista. Sadly, there
are still three folders which will not import because there 'is an error'. I
have deleted many messages from the other folders thinking the problem could
be a lack of space but still no luck. I have compacted the messages too.

Any tips what the problem could be please?

Files that are readonly instead of read/write often won't import well.

Are you using these instructions?

I have solved the problem by reselecting the particular 3 dbx folders on old PC again and repeating the process as before. (Am able to do it without reading instructions now!) This time all messages were imported successfully. No idea what the glitch had been as am sure I did check all were not 'READ ONLY' originally, but certainly they were this time!

Can't Import OE 6 messages - I just finished loading Vista RC1 and am trying to import my old OE6 messages. When I navigate to the store folder, there are no files visible. I can see them all when I use Windows Explorer but the import facility doesn't see them. Is this a known....

Import OE messages from where? - Following the directions is neat until you get to the part where it asks you for the location with a blank spot and the Browse button. Maybe a little more explanation in the "Help" might help. I'm trying to import from an existing XP config on...
