You are right, no one forces anyone to buy VISTA, but with all the hype, and
all the good reviews I read, VISTA is supposed to be excellent.

You could have used the time to go to Mcafee and get the Vista version which
has been out for ages now. Would have saved a lot of time in here.

I use Mcafee now on Vista Business.

Thanks Jase. I did email McAfee, they referred me to a phone number which
charges $2.95 per minute to ask them LOL

It's the only thing that's really given me any problems really. Which is quite surprising from a PC that's only 3-4 months old! I've been on line with McAfee directly text-chatting live with 4-5 operatives, all of whom gave me the same questions & answers, but none so far have come up with the solutions. Of all the 100's & 1,00's of computer boffins out there, you'd think at least one of them would have the solution to MY problem. The Results box/page doesn't let the 'Loading of the Cleaning Results' display. I have to use the Task Manager to exit the bloody program, and it never fully completes!!! BAH! HUMBUG!!!...

Download McAfee Removal tool:
http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

Microsoft does not develop McAfee products, McAfee does. "Jase", I suggest
you search this newsgroup for "best antivirus", "best security" and so on.
You will find buckets of opinions, some even informed ones, on what security
software to obtain. McAfee is rarely recommended...

Search Microsoft Vista Security newsgroup:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=...rosoft.

McAfee Online 2008 products are compatible with both 64 and 32-bit Vista,
the 2007 products were only compatible with 32-bit. However anyone buying
boxed CD would most likely need a Vista patch to enable compatibility.
