After a re-install (Clean install) of Vista Business including all available
updates my Internet Explorer does not close down correctly. Every time after
opening a website and subsequently closing, a message appears "Explorer
stopped working and needs to close down" The program restarts and after that
a normal close down can be made. This extremely annoying and I have tried to
find a solution in the event viewer, which indicates an application (IE)
crash but is unable to offer a solution.
Any suggestions?

Did you check Start > All Programs > Maintenance > Problem Reports and
Solution > View Problem History? You will usually find error logs there with
possible solutions or causes. My only suggestions right now, is to ensure
you have the latest version of JAVA SE installed, the latest version of the
Adobe Flash Player installed. If you are experiencing the same problem, try
resetting your Internet Explorer settings > click Start > type Internet
Options > click it > Advanced (tab) under 'Reset Internet Explorer settings'
> click Reset
